Guerrero Amethyst crystal cluster from Amatitlán Guerrero, Mexico. This locality is world renown for Amethyst crystals with juicy purple interiors and frosted translucent to gemmy clear termination points. This Guerrero Amethyst specimen has a beautiful flower-like crystal formation on matrix. Guerrero Amethyst is difficult to obtain these days, mines are closed due to safety concerns, since the Mexican cartel took control of the area. We were able to obtain two flats of old stock, including this specimen from the early 2000s.
