SPOCK. Square. Space-age. Elementary. With a deliberately softened geometry. Unisex with a feminine sensibility, monolithic like all the models of the SOLAR BLOCK concept, SPOCK is an activist. Has a rock, new wave, marginal edge. They own the future. And a sense of humor too.

Blocks of thicknesses, in width and in depth, and a bridge aligned with tenons for heightened graphic effect: SOLAR BLOCK, as a concept, is monolithic.  Our designers wanted to give in to their primal impulse by creating glasses as if directly extracted from matter. Sculpture, stylization, geometry, urban spirit…  and fun! All geometric references are respected, lines overlap, matte, brushed intersections join forces. An interplay of color underscores their elemental side. The frames are compact, archetypal, architectural, almost brutalist. The lines drawn are pictographic, direct, schematic, pure, primitive. While the shapes are elementary, their interpretations are different, and their hard-hitting spirit gives the concept’s frames a pure rock DNA. The smoked lenses come in bold shades, and stand out, increasing the block effect of the material. The tips of the arms, with their resin like the pictogram of a rough diamond, complete these objects. The construction effect almost evokes Lego. The strict, moving forms recall the irreverence of the band Devo, the demands of the Jeunes Gens Mödernes, and the constructivist aesthetic. All the glasses in the SOLAR BLOCK concept are resolutely sharp. They make a statement about style. And nothing else.
